I was absolutely caught up in the characters and the new depth Thomas has brought to Going Home. She spins an incredible tale of life in modern Israel with its joys and the uncertainties that terrorism brings. I felt happiness and pleasure along with the characters and agonized with them through their trials. I especially enjoyed how her story captures the unique spirit of the Israeli people as they always choose life and to turn that which was meant to devastate and to destroy into something positive.

A wonderful continuation of the story from the author's first novel, "The Gentile and the Jew - A Divine Romance". The story of the Kramer and the Jernigan families continues, but the lives of other characters are brought to the forefront and we come to know and love them and meet a few new folks along the way. I laughed, I cried, I yelled at one particular plot twist. I really enjoyed reading this book and learned a little as well. Mrs. Thomas' faith clearly shows through the lives of her characters without being at all preachy or alienating.
